For most people holding a college degree greatly improves their standard of living. On average, the more education an individual has the higher their earnings are and the lower the rate is of them being unemployed.

Higher degrees often translate into higher average salaries.

A bachelor’s degree holder earns a median of $2.8 million — 75% more than if they had only a high school diploma over their lifetime. - Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce

Research suggests that the more education you have, the happier you tend to be. 

In a survey that utilized data from the U.S. General Social Surveys, 94% of people with a bachelor’s degree or more reported feeling happy or very happy with their lives overall.

On average, graduates experience less unemployment. The unemployment rate for individuals age 25 and older with at least a bachelor’s degree has consistently been about half of the unemployment rate for high school graduates. – College Board
